The way you physically move in space from one point to another, similarly in mind you are moving from past, present to future, consumed in thoughts. The quantum of energy within may remain the same, but due to such leakages, diminishes the flow to the present moment.Д®nergy is constantly moving, so is mind in fact there is no such thing as an absolutely still mind. Therefore, our aliveness in our existential experiences does not enjoy the joy in totality to what we indulge, nor the peace of mind. Either we are sad or happy, troubled or peaceful, angry or calm etc., but are we fully involved with what we do, uninhibited in total contribution to the present moment? Our mind is constantly multitasking or busy in thinking something about the past or future, diluting what is being done in the present. We know that we are alive and exist, but are we centered? We are wasting a large part of our energy either in brooding over the past or anxious about future. These are not part of any new-age solutions, but exist from ancient days, where mantra, chanting, meditation and stillness were exercised to tame and balance the mind.

In a high paced technological world, we all make attempts to retreat either into meditation, a quiet resort, or go someplace, where there is silence from the incessant outer noise and inner chattering. Centering becomes the source of vitality from which life radiates the mind is no longer a wanderer and we become composed.вЂќ All of us are centered in some way or the other, in mind through our ego, in heart through emotions, in our body through stomach and in our existence through breath. I am quoting some lines from Chapter 13вЂ¦.вЂќTo be centered in spiritualism is to become alive, reach a point where intellect and awareness dissolve as one, empowering us to focus and concentrate our energies toward fulfillment. It has been explained in great detail in my third book titled вЂThe Ultimate RealityвЂ™. It doesnвЂ™t mean it is not moving, but in totality, with un-conflicted involvement in the moment that you are with the present and reality.Д¬entering is the art of life, which we all need to practice.

Stillness in spiritual sense conveys being centered to the present moment experiencing a certain sequence. It is like capturing a still photo out of a running video film, meaning the video is moving in high velocity reflecting a still image. Spiritually, stillness is dynamic, the centering of psychic movement, reflecting a stationary position. Stillness, according to me is multi-dimensional on one side we may say it is the absence of movement and on another, being silent or quiet. Krishnamurti said, вЂњTo understand the immeasurable, the mind must be extraordinarily quiet, still.вЂќ ItвЂ™s not easy to define stillness, yet one can find innumerable quotes on the subject.
